Avoriaz is a high-altitude resort in the Portes du Soleil, part of the municipality of Morzine in Haute-Savoie. One key point for your trip: the resort is car-free. Vehicles stop at the car parks at its entrance, and getting around the resort is on foot, on skis or with the local luggage transport services. The climb from Morzine

The road to Avoriaz climbs from the Morzine valley. In winter, the trip depends on the weather, snow, traffic and road conditions, especially on changeover Saturdays.
