How we calculate
- Pickup CHF 6.30; per-km: CHF 3.20 (Tariff I) or CHF 3.80 (Tariff II).
- Waiting: CHF 60/h (≈ CHF 1/min). When stopped (0 km/h) or very slow, the meter charges time.
- Tariff II applies at night, on Sundays/holidays, from 4 passengers, or if Céligny / outside canton is involved.
- Foreign tolls (FR/IT, tunnels, ferries) and parking are not included.
The estimator provides an estimate. A fixed price can be agreed separately before the journey; once agreed, it remains fixed for the planned trip.

01 How much does a taxi cost in Geneva (city pickup & airport perimeter)?
6.30 CHF in the city. 7.80 CHF for pickups within the Geneva Airport perimeter (meter start, not a flat fare).
02 What is the per-kilometer price in Geneva (Tariff I & II and hours)?
3.20 CHF/km (Tariff I) Mon-Fri 06:31-20:29 and Sat 06:31-17:59. 3.80 CHF/km (Tariff II) Mon-Fri 20:30-06:30, Sat 18:00-06:30, and on Sundays & public holidays. Tariff II also applies for 4+ passengers or if the trip involves Céligny or goes outside the Canton of Geneva.
03 What fare applies for a 7-seater taxi (4+ passengers) in Geneva?
From 4 passengers, Tariff II applies: 3.80 CHF/km at any time.
04 What is the waiting time charge in Geneva?
60.00 CHF per hour (1.00 CHF per minute).
05 Which supplements apply (luggage, skis, dog, porterage)?
Luggage from 5 to 30 kg: CHF 1.50 per item; over 30 kg: CHF 3.00. CHF 1.50 surcharge per dog. CHF 1.50 surcharge per pair of skis. Luggage carrying beyond standard loading or unloading: CHF 1.50 per item. Please mention pets and equipment when booking.
06 Are assistance dogs and mobility aids carried free of charge?
Yes. Assistance dogs and devices for elderly or disabled passengers are carried free of charge.
07 How is the estimate calculated, and is it a fixed price?
The estimate combines the standard pickup fee, distance, applicable time tariff, estimated waiting time and entered luggage. It is an estimate, not a fixed price. The airport pickup fee and dog, ski or carrying surcharges are confirmed separately and are not added automatically by the current estimator.
08 Can we agree a fixed price in advance?
Yes. A fixed price can be agreed before the journey by WhatsApp, phone, email or another direct exchange; it counts as agreed once you accept it explicitly, for example by replying “OK”. Once agreed, it remains fixed for the planned trip, whatever the traffic or roadworks. To ask for one, mention it in your booking request.
09 Does a fixed price include tolls and parking, and can it change?
For a fixed price agreed in advance, foreseeable tolls and parking costs are normally included in the agreed amount. If you later ask for a change that alters the route, a new price or estimate is offered: you can accept it or keep the original trip. The online estimator, by contrast, excludes foreign tolls and parking.
10 Which payment methods do you accept, and can I pay in euros?
Payments are accepted in cash, by bank card or with TWINT. Card payments are made in CHF; your bank handles any currency conversion. Paying in euros or another foreign currency is not automatic: some foreign currencies may be accepted in cash, by prior arrangement and case by case. An invoice or receipt can be provided on request.
11 Are baby seats, booster seats and Wi-Fi charged extra?
No. Baby seats, child seats and booster seats are free on request, as is Wi-Fi. Mention them when booking, with the children’s age and height, so that the right equipment can be prepared.
12 Are there booking or cancellation fees?
No. Ned Taxi Genève does not charge any booking or cancellation fee. Changing the time, pickup or destination remains possible, subject to availability.
